On January 24, 1917, Fort Anne, Nova Scotia, was designated as the first national "Historic Park" in Canada. A century later, more than 980 sites in Canada, and even outside the country, bear this title. From lighthouses to battlefields, historic districts to cultural landscapes, there is an amazing array of places awaiting discovery.
