Description of Historic Place
The historic place is comprised of a simple one-and-one-half storey wood-frame residential building located at 1062 Richards Street in Vancouver’s Downtown South area.
Heritage Value
The house at 1062 Richards Street, constructed in 1908, is of value as a typical example of housing built for the working-class population. While its context has changed considerably in the past century, it is of value as a rare survivor of single-family residential development in a neighbourhood which now predominantly consists of commercial structures and high-rise residential development.
